Meditation Services
Meditation isn’t about emptying your mind or achieving some perfect state of calm. It’s about learning to be present with what’s actually happening – the anxiety, the racing thoughts, the grief, the joy – without being overwhelmed by it. A consistent practice helps you find your footing when life knocks you sideways, reminds you of your own inner steadiness, and creates space to see clearly even when everything feels chaotic. It’s not a cure-all, but it’s a remarkably practical tool for living.
What is iRest® Meditation?
iRest (Integrative Restoration) is a research-backed form of guided meditation designed to help you access deep rest and resilience, even when life feels overwhelming. Originally developed for military veterans dealing with trauma and PTSD, iRest is now recognized as an effective practice for anyone experiencing stress, anxiety, chronic pain, or sleep difficulties.
Unlike traditional meditation that can feel directive or overwhelming, iRest works by helping you welcome whatever you’re experiencing – sensations, emotions, thoughts – without judgment or pressure to change anything. Each practice begins and ends with your personal “Inner Resource,” a safe haven you create that you can return to whenever you need grounding.
The beauty of iRest is its accessibility: you can practice lying down, and many people drift into deeply restorative states, even sleep. Over time, iRest becomes a self-regulation tool you can use in brief moments throughout your day, helping you respond to life’s challenges with more calm and clarity.

Individual iRest Meditations
Individual iRest sessions use the traditional iRest Meditation 10-step format and provide some flexibility to address specific issues.
Private sessions are perfect for individuals who wish meditations that are more tailored to personal work they are already engaged in. They also allow more time for questions and discussion.
An individual iRest session usually lasts about 90 minutes including check-in at the beginning to answer questions or discuss intentions for that day’s meditation and perhaps integration after the meditation. These iRest sessions are recorded and are made available for future practice, later listening and integration.
iRest Dyad Sessions
A Dyad is a co-meditation with an individual in a guided inquiry format. The dyad format allows you to explore feelings that arise during a session from emotions, experiences and beliefs in an atmosphere free of judgement. Gentle invitations may be used to help keep the inquiry in the present. Sessions are recorded and are made available for later listening and integration.
What You’ll Experience in a Dyad Session:
Dyads provide an opportunity to participate in a co-meditation where you work paired with a facilitator to explore a spontaneous inquiry. The dyad format invites you to express what you are noticing and feeling in the moment in a safe container with surprising results that can be profound.
Providing space and safety to be able to verbalize aloud what is arising in you helps to make your exploration more concrete and what is revealed more tangible. Expressing sensations out loud helps to slow the process of unpacking feelings that might otherwise arrive as a torrent of swirling emotions.
There is no agenda or preconceived direction during these dyads. There is no therapy or any ‘fixing’ and at the same time this work can be profound and healing. This is very much an exercise of being in the Now and feeling into what is arising in the present moment.
